One of the most shocking films of all time, Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho changed the thriller genre forever. Alfred Hitchcock, the Master of Suspense is credited for Psycho – a chilling journey of an unsuspecting victim (Janet Leigh) who visits the Bates Motel and falls prey to one of cinema’s most notorious psychopaths – Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins).

Featuring one of the most iconic scenes in film history – the famous “shower scene”, Psycho has cemented its place in the history of American pop culture. The Crawford County Historical Society, founded in 1880, preserves the history of our region through events, programs, and donations from the community.
