A backdrop for those who love the outdoor experience to make their stories.
Located in southwest Crawford County, Pymatuning State Park offers overnight camping and visitors can watch ducks walk across the fish at the famous Linesville Spillway nearby. As the state’s largest natural lake, Conneaut Lake is a prime location for summer boating and water sports of all kinds. Named 2022 River of the Year, French Creek is popular with kayakers who use the launches along its banks to float through the county from Cambridge Springs, through Meadville and into the Sugar Lake region. These areas are also home to the Erie Wildlife Refuge which provides a habitat for migratory birds. Canadohta Lake is another good fishing spot, while the East Branch Trail forms a portion of the larger Erie to Pittsburgh Trail and the Queen City Trail connects Titusville to Oil Creek and the greater Oil Region.
